The brief
The IA’s new headquarters was a fresh fit-out, delivered through one of our UK distributors Ahrend, a workplace partner with nearly 130 years of experience furnishing offices across Europe and the UK. Rather than drop traditional keyed lockers into a brand-new, design-led space, The Investment Association wanted storage that matched a modern, Microsoft-based workplace. They wanted a solution that was secure, effortless for staff, and simple for the facilities team to run.
The solution
Yellowbox delivered 83 wired smart lockers, built into the new fit-out and managed entirely in software. For their use case, every locker is permanently assigned to a staff member, and the whole bank is run from a single dashboard.
Staff can open their locker straight from Microsoft Teams, the app they already have open every day, with nothing new to download or carry. At the locker bank there is also a touchscreen kiosk with a card reader and PIN, as an alternative access method for staff to enter their lockers.
