Client had over 4,000 employees, with a 50% ratio of lockers to employees, were worried about lockers hitting capacity and running out of storage for employees. They also had a preference to have only permanent lockers, rather than hot (temporary) lockers.

Yellowbox provided a solution that would allow the Client to provide storage for all employees that needed it, without running out of lockers.

  • Self-serve booking and enrolment, ensuring only users that need a locker will access one.
  • Implemented "Use it or lose it" model, where users that had lockers for over 2, 3, and 4 weeks without opening them were sent an automated camping email. This email would remind the user to either use the locker, or risk losing access with an option to end the booking through the email. This saved the Client over 300 manual emails per week.
  • Option to implement Team lockers to groups in case lockers get close to capacity.

Yellowbox also provided a solution that would provide a parcel solution, used for automating mailroom processes.

  • Deliveries could be placed in a locker, with an automated pickup email sent to the receiver of the package. The receiver could then use their app or swipe card to open the parcel locker.

Overall Yellowbox has saved the client, around 2,000 lockers and space, alongside 2,746 hours in manual locker management tasks annually.
