Context
Multinational Pharmaceutical Fortune 500 company wanted to install a locker system that would minimise locker management required for facilities and reception staff. They also expressed interest in having less lockers than number of employees, by implementing self-serve booking system with utilisation tracking and hot locker modes for a percentage of lockers.
However, the most critical procurement factor for the Fortunte 500 company were data and network security standards they were required to uphold. The workplace team did not have enough time or capacity to engage IT team for a security review.
Solution
Yellowbox provided a leading solution which matched the global Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company's security standards:
- Complete anonymous data mode, ensuring no PII (personally identifiable information) data was required to run the system.
- No involvement with the customer/client network, by using Yellowbox's 'off-network' solution through a Yellowbox 4G router.
The system provided a seamless experience for both users and management:
- Seamless self-serve access through existing RFID swipe cards on touchscreen kiosk.
- Additional PIN code access for users that forgot their card for the day.
- Flexibility to still enforce rules such as hot lockers and only one locker per user.
- Dashboard to track locker utilisation.
- 24/7 management support through the Yellowbox dashboard.
563 hours saved each year in administration time compared to traditional locks, through automations, support and self-serve access.
