The system featured RFID swipe card access, offering convenience and security, with a secondary PIN code option allowing users to access their locker without needing their swipe card—perfect for post-shower use. Maximising Locker Availability with Hot Locker Settings
With over 1,800 registered users but space for only 280 lockers, Yellowbox implemented a hot locker setting to optimise locker availability. This feature allowed users to book a locker for the day, with automated booking expiry at 10 pm to ensure lockers were readily available the following day. The solution helped Charter Hall manage demand efficiently, providing equal locker access for all users.
Enhanced Facility Management with Cleaner Mode
To streamline locker maintenance, Yellowbox introduced a "Cleaner Mode" accessed via a touchscreen kiosk and secured with a PIN code. This feature allowed the facilities team to open all unbooked lockers at once, enabling easy cleaning and resetting of the lockers for the next day’s users. This automated functionality improved operational efficiency and reduced manual work.
Customisable Tenant Solutions
The Yellowbox system also offered the facilities team the ability to allocate locker banks to specific tenants and provide them with management dashboard access. This gave tenants control over their designated lockers while Charter Hall retained overall management capabilities through the master dashboard. This multi-layered control system catered to both tenant needs and centralised facility management.
